Bluto

Bluto had a really rough puppyhood. He was abused, starved, and relocated to a high kill-rate pound that would eventually be investigated for unethical practices with Dalmatians in particular. His foster mother lived on a small farm with horses, chickens, and a ton of chihuahuas because she ran a small dog rescue of her own. After about 3 months of watching other Dals being put down, she made the connection that someone on the inside must have been looking out for Bluto. She called the Dalmatian Rescue of Los Angeles and organized a temporary placement while they started looking for a new home for the fella.

Meanwhile, a smelly 21-year-old guy named Joey wasn't having the best luck in life either. On a whim, he looked up Petfinder and the first dog he saw was a listing of a Dalmatian with a heart-shaped nose. He was fully grown, untrained, malnourished, and completely nuts and Joey decided immediately - if they were both going to be lost, they might as well be lost together ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Joey then drove several hours to meet the pup. Upon arriving, a giant, stoic army man held the loose leash while the psychotic young dog jumped all over like a lunatic. He appeared to be more of a wild animal than a domesticated pooch. Either way, Joey signed the paperwork and took Bluto home. It took a while, but Bluto figured it out and by the time he was an adult dog he could solve puzzles, do a bunch of commands, say "I love you" in English (Though, his English was a little ruff...), and a billion other wildly smart things...Including pranks.

They lived a glorious life together until Bluto left at the old age of 16 and a half.

Bringing that dog home was the best choice Joey had ever made and he just wants to share Bluto with anyone looking for something positive in their life.
